Hamam Family (Time Stamping Sound), 2021
Video with sound, 15min 11sec
Hamam Family (Time Stamping Sound) is a family portrait of the sounds created within the Hamam home. It displays a calendar-like composition of the sounds associated with specific times of the day, as well as the room tones and non-associated sounds of specific times. Through each spectrogram, colour- and sound-scape, Hamam Family allows viewers to navigate the sounds of Hadil’s family home, while thinking about the sounds within their own environment and homes.
